Description

Company Overview

We are a licensed Hong Kong Trust and Company Service Provider (TCSP) delivering AML/CFT compliance, international trade risk, and counterparty risk management solutions to both regulated and non-regulated sectors through our proprietary Counterparty Risk Management Services (CRMS) framework.

CRMS is a tenant-based compliance and risk management infrastructure designed to support publicly listed companies, non-regulated private enterprises, regulated financial institutions, professional firms, nonprofit and for-profit organisations, and Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) operating across domestic and cross-border environments.

Our framework requires sub-tenant, counterparty, and third-party pre-qualification as a mandatory prerequisite to onboarding, followed by risk assessment, ongoing monitoring, and financial crime prevention measures. This approach strengthens governance resilience and regulatory alignment, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated before any business relationship is established with our Partners, who operate as Tenants within the CRMS framework.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate – AML Digital Assets who brings an established professional Tenant network and originates CRMS advisory engagements across digital assets, fintech, payments, and financial services, supporting Tenant adoption of the Company’s CRMS as part of ongoing commercial relationships.

This role is commercially focused, with responsibility for originating, leading, and expanding Tenant engagements through the tiered CRMS framework (Levels 1–3). The successful candidate will combine strong AML/CFT expertise with the ability to manage and grow Tenant relationships in medium- to high-risk environments, while delivering regulator-defensible outcomes.

Our CRMS framework combines AI-driven automation with human-led due diligence, investigation, and decision-making to deliver scalable, regulator-defensible AML outcomes.
The role is commercially focused and revenue-generating. It positions the Company’s CRMS framework as an outsourced solution for Tenants operating in regulated, professional, trade-facing, and DNFBP environments, covering governance, compliance, transaction risk, financial crime, and international trade risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tenant Origination & Revenue Growth
    • Demonstrate an established professional Tenant network and a proven ability to originate and grow AML advisory engagements within digital assets, fintech, payments, and financial services, in compliance with applicable contractual, regulatory, ethical, and professional conduct obligations.
    • Originate new Tenant opportunities and convert introductions into active CRMS engagements.
    • Own and manage Tenant relationships from initial engagement through onboarding, delivery coordination, and expansion.
    • Lead and expand Tenant adoption of the CRMS tiered offering (Levels 1–3).
    • Identify and execute opportunities to cross-sell and upsell AML advisory, EDD, independent audit, and ongoing monitoring services within the Tenant ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership on proposals, engagement scoping, and commercial discussions relating to Tenants.
  • AML Advisory & CRMS Enablement
    • Act as a Tenant-facing AML advisory representative for originated and assigned Tenants.
    • Support Tenant discussions on AML/CFT risk, regulatory expectations, and financial crime exposure.
    • Present and explain the Company’s AI-driven, human-governed CRMS framework (Levels 1–3) to prospective and existing Tenants.
    • Support regulatory interactions, audits, and supervisory reviews in collaboration with senior leadership and delivery teams, where these relate to Tenant activities.
    • Support Tenant adoption and expansion of the CRMS tiered framework (Levels 1–3), encompassing automated onboarding and screening, hybrid human-led risk assessment and enhanced due diligence, and ongoing monitoring and regulatory readiness services.
    • Identify opportunities to expand CRMS usage across Levels 1–3 as Tenant risk profiles and regulatory requirements evolve.
    • Escalate complex AML and financial crime risk matters and support STR/SAR processes in accordance with established governance and oversight frameworks.
  • Technical & Governance Responsibilities
    • Proven working knowledge of KYC/KYB, enhanced due diligence, ownership and UBO analysis, sanctions/PEP/adverse media screening, and AML risk assessment and escalation frameworks, applied in Tenant advisory roles.
    • Provide strategic governance and compliance advisory to internal senior management.
    • Oversee AML/CFT frameworks, including transaction risk and lending-related compliance considerations, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
    • Manage Tenant relationships and act as the primary AML and compliance advisor for assigned Tenants.
    • Leverage an established network of Tenants to originate new mandates and grow the Company’s Tenant base in compliance with commercial and regulatory requirements.

What We Offer

  • Partnership-based revenue sharing, directly aligned to the Tenants and mandates you originate and expand.
  • Hybrid working flexibility, supporting effective engagement across the Tenant ecosystem.
  • Opportunity to build and grow a personal Tenant portfolio within a regulated AML advisory environment.
  • Exposure to complex, high-risk, and cross-border financial crime challenges across multiple jurisdictions and sectors.
  • Ongoing AML and financial crime training (Mandatory), tailored to the jurisdictional and sector-specific practices in which your Tenants operate.
  • Access to proprietary compliance technology, advanced analytics, and direct support from senior management and subject-matter experts.

    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in AML/CFT, operational risk management, compliance, controls, or governance, preferably within financial institutions, digital asset firms, FinTechs, payment providers, or regulated capital markets environments.
    • Be a self-starter who proactively originates ideas, identifies and captures opportunities, and drives initiatives forward with limited oversight.
    • Ability to identify and assess emerging risks arising from new technologies, innovative business models, and evolving regulatory expectations.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate independently in Tenants’-facing advisory environments.
    • Strong people and communication skills; active listening; advanced computing and technology know-how; project management and organisational abilities; high ethical standards; analytical, research, and critical-thinking expertise; effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of risk and control frameworks applicable to digital assets, including operational, technology, third-party, cyber, and financial crime risks.
    • Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards relating to digital assets, including AML/CFT, KYC, Travel Rule, custody, and safeguarding requirements.
    • Experience overseeing, advising on, or supporting digital asset products, platforms, exchanges, custodians, or service providers is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with the ability to create both Tenants’-facing and internal deliverables, strong project management and teamwork skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Excellent written and spoken English is required, with proficiency strongly preferred, with confident communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Preferred Certifications
    • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, ACAMS (Advanced), FRM, PRM, CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
    • Digital asset, blockchain, or crypto-specific certifications are highly advantageous.
    • Additional regulatory, compliance, risk, or governance certifications will be considered a strong plus.
